Premier Li Keqiang paid a state visit to Canada on September 21 and attended the 6th China-Canada Business Forum co-hosted by CCPIT and CCBC on September 23.

Premier Li Keqiang's visit to Montreal, Canada's second largest city, was warmly welcomed by the local people. Premier Li and Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada agreed to heat up bilateral relations and launch free trade negotiations between China and Canada, hoping to rapidly double the volume of trade between the two countries for the benefit of the two peoples. Xu Shaoshi, Minister of National Development and Reform Commission, Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi and Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng attended the visit. Wang KeYue, Huarong Asset of China, Li huaizhen, chairman of China Minsheng securities, Xing Wei, President of China Putian group, Wang Shi, chairman of Vanke Group, Wu Xiaohui, chairman of Anbang insurance, Liang Xinjun, President of Fuxing Group, as well as world-class famous large enterprises such as Huawei, ZTE, Zhenhua heavy industry, etc. Guosheng capital and Zhenwei, the invested enterprise, will also be invited to visit the Canadian market to discuss with Montreal the investment in communication equipment, medical treatment and aerospace, as well as the layout of Zhenwei's exhibitions in oil, gas and equipment fields.
